Lake Pleasant Jet Ski Rental β A 2026 Plan for Phoenix’s Biggest Lake
Pricing, pickup logistics, the best ramps, and how to decide whether Pleasant or a closer East Valley lake is the right call for your day.
Lake Pleasant is the largest body of water in the Phoenix metro β roughly 10,000 surface acres of open water on the northwest edge of the Valley. It’s a different kind of jet ski day than Saguaro or Canyon Lake: bigger, more open, and built for riders who want to actually open the throttle. Below is the full plan for renting a Sea-Doo Spark from Wave and Ridge, towing it to Pleasant, and getting on the water.
Lake Pleasant Jet Ski Rental Prices in 2026
Wave and Ridge runs a single, well-maintained personal watercraft platform β the 2025 Sea-Doo Spark 3UP. It seats two adults comfortably, three smaller riders, and is the easiest jet ski on the market for first-timers. Pricing is pickup-only and starts at the rates below.
| Rental | Watercraft | Starting Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jet Ski (pickup) | 2025 Sea-Doo Spark 3UP | From $199 | Fits 2β3 riders, pickup at our Apache Junction shop |
| Pontoon Boat | 2025 Sea-Doo Switch | From $449 | Up to 9 passengers β a great group option |
| Wakeboat | 2024 Centurion RI 245 | From $999 | Full surf/wake setup, up to 16 passengers |
β οΈ Fuel is not included. Every jet ski leaves our shop with a full tank β return it with a full tank to avoid a refueling fee. Pleasant Harbor Marina sells fuel at the dock.
Why Lake Pleasant Is a Different Kind of Jet Ski Day
Pleasant is wide-open. Where Saguaro and Canyon Lake hug tight desert canyons, Pleasant gives you long, straight runs across deep blue water with desert mountains rising on the far shore. It’s the lake of choice for riders who want to cover real distance, ride in light chop, and have room to spread out from the rest of the boat traffic. The trade-off is the drive β Pleasant is about 90 minutes from our Apache Junction shop, so most East Valley renters end up choosing Saguaro or Canyon instead.

What’s Included With Your Jet Ski Rental
The rental fee covers the boat, the trailer, and every piece of safety gear you’re required to carry on Arizona waters. You handle the tow vehicle and the fuel.
π€ What You Get When You Pick Up Your Spark
Everything below is included in the base rental β no add-on fees.
- 2025 Sea-Doo Spark 3UP β fits 2 adults or 3 smaller riders
- Trailer with included tie-downs (you supply the tow vehicle and 2-inch ball hitch)
- USCG-approved life jackets for every rider
- Onboard fire extinguisher and throw rope
- Full safety orientation and Spark walkthrough at pickup
- Full tank of gas at pickup (return full to avoid refueling fee)
Best Lake Pleasant Launch Ramps for a Single Jet Ski Trailer
Pleasant has more ramps than any other Phoenix-area lake. For a small jet ski trailer, two are the obvious picks.
- Pleasant Harbor Marina ramp β Privately operated, on the southeast side of the lake. Easiest launch for first-time pullers, with parking close to the water and fuel at the dock. Day-use fee charged at the gate.
- 10-Lane Ramp (Lake Pleasant Regional Park) β The biggest public ramp in the state. Best when summer weekends get crowded. Maricopa County park entry fee applies.
- 4-Lane North Ramp β On the north end of the lake. Quieter, but a longer drive from the entrance. Good for weekday riders.
π‘ Insider tip: If you’re driving from the East Valley, Saguaro Lake is 35 minutes from our shop and Canyon Lake is 25 minutes β both rent the same Spark for the same starting price. Pleasant is worth the drive when you specifically want open water; for a quick after-work or half-day ride, the East Valley lakes win on logistics.
How to Book Your Lake Pleasant Jet Ski
Pleasant is a long tow from our shop, so plan an early start β most renters pick up by 7 AM, drive the trailer, and are on the water by 9.

- Return the Spark with a full tank to avoid the refueling fee

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to rent a jet ski for Lake Pleasant?
Wave and Ridge jet ski rentals start at $199 on a 2025 Sea-Doo Spark 3UP that fits 2β3 riders. The rental is pickup-only from our Apache Junction shop, and you’ll tow the trailer roughly 90 minutes across the Valley to Lake Pleasant. See our pricing page for current 4-hour and 8-hour rates.
Do I need a boating license to ride a jet ski at Lake Pleasant?
No. Arizona does not require a boating license to operate a personal watercraft. Operators must be at least 16 years old, and the person signing the rental agreement must be 21 or older. Every rental includes a full safety orientation before you leave the shop.
Is fuel included in the jet ski rental?
No. Every jet ski leaves our Apache Junction shop with a full tank, and renters are responsible for the fuel they use. Return the ski with a full tank to avoid a refueling fee. Fuel is sold at the Pleasant Harbor Marina at the south end of the lake.
Which Lake Pleasant launch ramp should I use?
For a single jet ski trailer, the Pleasant Harbor Marina ramp on the southeast side of the lake is the easiest β it’s paved, well-marked, and has parking close by. The 10-Lane Ramp inside Lake Pleasant Regional Park is the largest and best for crowded summer weekends. Both require a Maricopa County park entry fee.
Is Lake Pleasant or Saguaro Lake closer for a Phoenix-area renter?
It depends where you live. From central or northwest Phoenix, Lake Pleasant is closer (about 45 minutes). From the East Valley or our Apache Junction shop, Saguaro Lake is much closer (35 minutes from us, vs. about 90 minutes to Lake Pleasant). For a pickup rental, the trailer drive is part of the math β pick the lake that minimizes total tow time.
