Do I need a license to rent a Can-Am Maverick X3 in Arizona?

Yes. You must be 21 years or older to book and have a valid driver's license to operate the vehicle. Passengers do not need a license. We verify licenses at pickup for all UTV rentals.

How many people can ride in the Maverick X3?

Our Can-Am Maverick X3s are the 4-seat model, with room for up to four riders including the driver. All riders must wear seatbelts at all times. Children must meet Arizona's safety requirements for off-highway vehicles.

Where can I drive a street-legal UTV in Arizona?

Because our Mavericks are equipped with a street-legal kit:

You may drive them on non-highway roads in Arizona
You may take them directly from our Apache Junction location to Bulldog Canyon without needing a trailer
For other trail systems that require hauling, we offer trailers available for rent
Popular destinations include Bulldog Canyon OHV Area, Florence, and San Tan Mountain trails

Do I need a permit for UTV trails near Apache Junction?

All our UTV rentals are permitted for Tonto National Forest, including Bulldog Canyon OHV Area. We provide all the permit information and can assist with the process for your self-guided UTV trip. The Bulldog Canyon permit is free and can be obtained online.

What fuel does the Can-Am Maverick X3 require?

The 2025 Can-Am Maverick X3 requires 91 octane fuel. No need to fill it up before you return it – one tank is on us! The tank provides approximately 100+ miles of trail riding depending on terrain and driving style.

What's the best time of year to rent a UTV in Arizona?

The best time for UTV trail riding in Arizona is October through April when temperatures are cooler. Peak season is November through March with ideal 60-80°F weather. Summer rentals are available but we recommend early morning starts to avoid the heat. We're open year-round for desert adventures.

What trails are best for beginners near Mesa?

For first-time UTV riders, we recommend Bulldog Canyon OHV Area – it's just minutes from our Apache Junction location and offers well-maintained trails with beautiful Sonoran Desert scenery. The trails are clearly marked and offer varying difficulty levels so you can start easy and progress. We'll provide trail maps and recommendations during your safety briefing.

Do I need boating experience to rent a jet ski or pontoon?

No prior experience is required. We provide comprehensive safety instruction and operating tutorials before every watercraft rental. Our Sea-Doo jet skis and Switch pontoons are beginner-friendly. Arizona does not require a boating license, but you must be 21+ to rent and operators should be 18+ with a valid ID.

What is the security deposit for rentals?

Security deposits vary by rental type and are clearly displayed during checkout. Simply select your rental, choose your dates, and add to cart – the security deposit amount will display before you complete your booking. Deposits are refunded within 3-5 business days after the rental if equipment is returned in good condition.

How do I make sure I get my deposit back?

To ensure a full refund of your security deposit:

Operate responsibly and avoid reckless driving
In Can-Ams: Do not drive through deep water or mud that could damage the engine or drivetrain
Avoid stunts, donuts, or maneuvers that risk rollover or damage
Keep the interior clean and free of trash
For boats: Refuel with 91 octane fuel only before return
Return on time to avoid late fees

Do you offer insurance on rentals?

Yes, optional damage protection is available at checkout. This coverage reduces your liability for accidental damage. Your personal auto insurance or credit card may also provide coverage – we recommend checking with your provider before your rental. All rentals require a signed liability waiver.

What if the weather is bad on my rental day?

If conditions are unsafe (flash floods, heavy rain, extreme winds, or lightning), rentals may be delayed or rescheduled at no extra charge. We monitor Arizona weather closely and will contact you if conditions look dangerous. We'll always work with you to reschedule and provide the safest, most enjoyable experience possible.

Can I rent for multiple days?

Absolutely! We offer single-day, weekend, and weekly rental packages for all equipment. Multi-day rentals include discounted rates. Pair a UTV with a toy hauler for the ultimate Arizona camping adventure. Select your dates during checkout to see multi-day pricing.

What should I bring for a UTV rental?

For the best UTV experience, we recommend bringing:

Do you deliver rentals?

Yes! We offer delivery throughout the East Valley including Mesa, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Tempe, and Phoenix. We can also deliver boats and jet skis directly to lake launch ramps at Saguaro Lake, Canyon Lake, and Apache Lake. Delivery fees vary by location – contact us for a quote.

Are kids allowed on the rentals?

Yes, children are welcome as passengers on all our rentals! For UTVs, children must be able to fit properly in the seatbelt and wear a helmet. For boats and jet skis, children must wear properly-fitted life jackets at all times. We have child-sized safety gear available. The minimum age for operating any rental is 18 (21 to book).
