If you are searching for a jet ski rental near Phoenix, Canyon Lake and Saguaro Lake should be at the top of your list. Both lakes sit within the Tonto National Forest, less than an hour east of Phoenix, and offer stunning Sonoran Desert scenery that you will not find anywhere else in the country. The scenery alone is worth the trip. Sheer cliff faces rise hundreds of feet above the waterline, and hidden coves give you spots to float, swim, and take photos you will not believe are in Arizona.
Saguaro Lake is about 35 minutes away and offers a completely different riding experience. The lake is wider and more open, giving experienced riders room to open up the throttle on a personal watercraft. Saguaro Lake is also famous for its wild horse herds that graze along the shoreline. Spotting them from the water is one of the most unique experiences in the Phoenix area. Pick up from our Apache Junction location and head to either lake.

Jet Ski Rental FAQ: Canyon Lake, Saguaro Lake & Phoenix Area
Wave and Ridge rents 2025+ Sea-Doo Spark 3UP jet skis starting at $199 for 2 hours, $219 for a half day (4 hours), or $349 for a full day (8 hours). Most Phoenix-area companies charge $250-$350 per day, and most are a 45-minute tow from the lake. Our shop is 20 minutes from the Canyon Lake ramp.
All jet ski renters must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license. Passengers can be any age, but all riders under 12 must wear a life jacket at all times. We provide USCG-approved life jackets in all sizes.
If a storm is forecast for your rental day, contact us before launch and we'll reschedule at no charge. Once you're on the water, you're responsible for monitoring conditions and heading in if weather develops — we can't recall a rental once it has launched. Weather is handled by reschedule, not refund.
Every rental includes a 2025+ Sea-Doo Spark 3UP (seats 3, 90 HP), USCG-approved life jackets for all riders, a 15-minute safety orientation, free storm-day rescheduling, and a Bluetooth speaker (available on request). Reserve early and you may also get an attachable cooler (limited availability).
Canyon Lake and Saguaro Lake are the two best lakes for jet skiing near Phoenix. Canyon Lake has dramatic canyon walls and calm, emerald water, about 20 minutes from Apache Junction. Saguaro Lake offers more open water and a chance to spot wild horses along the shoreline, about 35 minutes away. You can pick up from our shop for both locations.
The 2025+ Sea-Doo Spark 3UP seats up to 3 riders with a maximum combined weight of 495 pounds. It is stable enough for two adults and a child, or three average-sized adults.
No prior experience is needed. Every rental includes a 15-minute safety orientation where Steve walks you through the controls, lake-specific navigation, right-of-way rules, and riding tips from 32 years on Arizona lakes. The Sea-Doo Spark is specifically designed to be easy for beginners while still being fun for experienced riders.
Cancellations made 48 or more hours before your rental receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable. If a storm is forecast for your day, contact us before launch and we'll reschedule at no charge; weather is handled by reschedule, not refund.

By law, no rental company can deliver to Canyon or Saguaro Lake — every renter tows their own out. So the only real question is who’s closest and makes it easiest. We’re about 20 minutes from the Canyon Lake ramp (competitors are a 45-minute tow), we hitch you up and coach you through it, and we comp $20 toward a U-Haul truck on 4- and 8-hour rentals. Never towed before? You will have by the time you leave our lot.
