East Valley UTV Rental: Half Day, Full Day, or Extended Day?
For most first-time riders in the East Valley, a half day of 4 hours is enough to learn the machine and see the best of Bulldog Canyon. A full day of 6 hours gives you the whole canyon without watching the clock. An Extended Day of 8 hours lets you add the Apache Trail after lunch. Wave & Ridge rents the 4-seat Can-Am Maverick X3 from Apache Junction in all of those lengths, plus an overnight option. Here is how to pick.
The four UTV lengths at a glance
| Length | Hours | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Half Day | 4 hours | First-timers, a morning or afternoon in Bulldog Canyon |
| Full Day | 6 hours | Two trail loops and a relaxed lunch |
| Extended Day | 8 hours | Bulldog Canyon in the morning, Apache Trail after lunch |
| Overnight | 24 hours | Camping trips and two mornings of riding |
Half-day rentals start at 8 AM or 2 PM. Overnight rentals start Monday through Friday only, because we are closed Sunday. Current rates for each length are on UTV rentals.
Half Day: 4 hours
A half day is the right call if this is your first time in a side-by-side, if you have younger riders aboard, or if you want to ride during the coolest part of the day. Our shop is about five minutes from Bulldog Canyon, and the X3 is street-legal, so almost all of your time goes to the trail.
Pick the 8 AM start for cool air and soft light. Pick the 2 PM start in the cooler months if your group is not a morning crowd.
Full Day: 6 hours
A full day for the UTV is 6 hours. That is enough for two full loops of Bulldog Canyon, a stop for lunch, and time to explore the side routes your group spotted on the first pass. If you have four adults who want to trade off driving, a full day keeps everyone from feeling rushed.
Extended Day: 8 hours
Our 8-hour block is called the Extended Day. It is built for groups who want more than one area in a single trip: Bulldog Canyon in the morning, then the Apache Trail corridor after lunch. Pack more water and snacks than you think you need, and plan the return so you are back at the shop by closing.
Overnight: 24 hours
The overnight rental is for riders who want to keep the machine at camp and ride two mornings. It starts Monday through Friday only. If you plan to take the X3 farther than Bulldog Canyon, add a trailer and check the hitch requirements on towing info.
How the clock works
Your rental time runs from your start time at our shop to your return time at our shop. Arrive one hour before your start time for helmet fitting and the 15-to-20-minute walkthrough. That prep hour does not come out of your block. We are open Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM, so every rental has to start and end inside those hours.
