20 min from our shop Tow vehicle required Weather reschedule, no charge

Canyon Lake is the narrow one. Red walls down to the water, calm in the morning, picks up a little wind after one. It's the closest of the lakes we send people to, twenty minutes from our lot on Scenic Street.

Bring a truck or SUV with a working hitch. We hook the trailer to it in the lot, walk you through the boat in person, and hand over the keys. Twenty minutes later you're at the ramp. The marina at the lake has a store and gas if you forget anything, which you will.

What you can pull to the ramp

Three 2025 boats. The wakeboat throws a tournament-grade surf wave. The pontoon fits ten without feeling crowded. The Spark is the most-rented jet ski in Arizona for a reason.

The day, end to end

What you bring
A truck or SUV with a working trailer hitch. Plus cooler, swimsuits, sunscreen, and a government-issued ID. 21 or older to rent a boat; 25 or older to rent a jet ski.
At the shop
We hook the trailer to your hitch, run the boat walk-through in our lot at 724 E Scenic St, and hand over the keys. About thirty minutes.
Drive to the lake
Roughly twenty minutes from the shop to the main ramp at Canyon Lake Marina, mostly along the Apache Trail (AZ-88).
On the water
Self-launch from the ramp. Calm water and glass mornings most days. The narrow canyon shelters the lake from afternoon wind better than most desert reservoirs. The marina sells gas and has a store if you need anything.
Returning
Retrieve at the same ramp, drive back to the shop, drop the trailer in our lot. Done in time for dinner.
If weather turns
Reschedule, no charge. Wind or storms can make Arizona lakes unsafe quickly; call (480) 637-4848 the morning of if conditions look off and we'll move your day.

Where you launch

Palo Verde Boat Launch on Canyon Lake. About twenty minutes from our shop along the Apache Trail (AZ-88). The main ramp and parking are right there.

Three questions we get a lot

About twenty minutes from 724 E Scenic St in Apache Junction to the main ramp at Canyon Lake Marina. Mostly highway along the Apache Trail (AZ-88). It's the closest of the lakes we rent for.
A full-size truck or SUV with a working trailer hitch. Tow weight varies by boat, so if you're not sure your vehicle is rated for it, call us before you book and tell us what you drive: (480) 637-4848. We'd rather sort it on the phone than turn you away in the lot.
No. Arizona doesn't require a boating license. You do need to be 21 or older to rent a boat, 25 or older to rent a jet ski, and have a government-issued ID. Our walk-through at the shop covers operation and the basics of navigation on Canyon Lake before you leave the lot.

If Canyon Lake isn't the right day

Canyon is closest to the shop and has the full marina with a store. If you want something different, here's where we'd send you instead.
